Wacker Neuson dealers mix business and pleasure at BAUMA 2016

Sightseeing, business and even a little romance were among the highlights of a recent Wacker Neuson dealer trip to Europe. Five contracted dealerships were represented on a week-long trip to Germany and Austria. Timing of the trip coincided with the Bauma trade show in mid-April.

The dealers received the trip from Wacker Neuson by either winning a drawing during the annual Dealer Summit in October 2015 or by achieving top equipment sales. The tour started in Munich, home to Wacker Neuson’s group headquarters.  No trip to southern Germany would be complete without Bavarian food and a tour of the Neuschwantstein Castle (the basis for Disney’s Cinderella castle). While in the Munich area, the group also attended Bauma, the world’s largest construction equipment trade show held every three years.

The week also included tours of Wacker Neuson’s manufacturing facilities in Reichertshofen, Germany and Linz, Austria. Reichertshofen, located about 45 minutes north of Munich, is home to the European training academy and manufacturing of many light equipment products including plates and vibrators. The manufacturing facility in Linz is responsible for the production of all Wacker Neuson excavators and dumpers.

Wacker Neuson contracted dealers offer the brand’s full line of light equipment and compact products. Dealerships represented on the trip included:

Admar Supply, serving Upstate New York
All Star Equipment, Fort Myers, FL
Capital Rentals, serving greater Washington, DC
Franklin Equipment, Columbus, OH
D’outils Victo, Quebec Canada

In addition to connecting with Wacker Neuson while in Europe, one of our dealer guests also took the opportunity to propose marriage. All Star Equipment’s Austin Clinton and his girlfriend Taylor Barfield became engaged in Salzburg, just prior to the Bauma event. We wish them all the best!
