Outstanding performance over the full distance: Endurance test for Wacker Neuson vibratory plate

Gardening and landscaping companies tackle a huge range of jobs, from creating green areas to planning, designing and maintaining outdoor features. Gilli Garten AG in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, is no exception. This gardening and landscaping firm has won a contract to create the entire green area surrounding the new premises of pharmaceutical and diagnostics company Roche.

To compact such an extensive surface area, Gilli Garten has turned to Wacker Neuson’s remote-controlled DPU 130 vibratory plate. Thanks to its new hydraulic steering system, the DPU 130 can be easily maneuvered, enabling it to effortlessly tackle any corner or vibrate evenly in a stationary position. Its continuous speed setting makes it easy to operate and a real all-rounder. The DPU 130 is remotely controlled. Its proximity recognition sensor ensures that the plate automatically cuts out if it comes within two meters of the operator. It is extremely safe, easy to operate and low in emissions.

“The DPU 130 really impressed us at the Öga gardening and landscaping trade fair in Switzerland,” reports Joe Gilli, professional gardener and Managing Director of Gilli Garten AG. “It is easy to operate and effortlessly delivers the same power as a large roller. It is the ideal solution for efficient, easy compaction of large areas. Our plate has been in action almost every day for the last seven months – and it never fails to deliver.” Thanks to its compact dimensions, the Wacker Neuson DPU 130 can be easily transported, making it an extremely flexible tool.

With a staff of 40, Gilli Garten AG provides gardening and landscaping services in and around Lucerne and Zurich.   The company has been a Wacker Neuson customer for many years and is enthusiastic about the level of service and product quality offered by Wacker Neuson. “Our first Wacker Neuson machine was a rammer. That proved to be just the beginning. We now source all of our compaction equipment from Wacker Neuson,” explains Joe Gilli.   “We highly rate the professional relationship with our Wacker Neuson sales advisor, Marco Grau, at the service station in Root. If a machine isn’t immediately available for purchase, we are always able to rent the equipment we need until our order is ready. The fact that the next service station is just round the corner in Root makes this even easier – one of the great advantages of Wacker Neuson,” concludes Joe Gilli.

Wacker Neuson’s Swiss affiliate has a wide-reaching network with 10 sales and service stations across Switzerland, ensuring that the company is never far from its customers and always on hand to provide optimum support.
