Soil compaction is hard work - how can we make it easier? By minimizing hand-arm vibration while maintaining high compression efficiency, while simplifying the organization of work. A majority of the reversible vibratory plates from Wacker Neuson convince with hand-arm vibration below 2.5 m/s2 without throttling performance. This means superior compaction results without time constraints, time-consuming documentation and health burden.
So everyone is a winner!
High level of efficiency and operator friendliness.
Thanks to low action values you can benefit from a number of advantages that revolutionize your compacting work and can afford more:
- Equipment operation without any time restrictions
- Comfortable working without any health burden
- Elimination of obligatory documentation requirement
- No preventative measures necessary
- Efficient compaction performance
More economic efficiency
Less load. More advantages for you.
Whether contractors, rental yards or operators – our vibratory plates with minimal hand-arm vibrations (HAV) make everyone a winner!
"Due to the elimination of the documentation requirement, I can work more economically and have more time for important things."
"My rental customers are looking for economical products. The vibratory plates from Wacker Neuson are the solution! It's no surprise that I rent them so often and so willingly."
"Thanks to Wacker Neuson, compaction work is very easy: precise control, no loads – and I also do not need to look at the clock."
Our reversible models with HAV below 2.5 m/s2:
|HAV value||1.3 m/s²|
|HAV value||1.5 m/s²|
|HAV value||1.5 m/s²|
|HAV value||1.2 m/s²|
Background knowledge to hand-arm vibration.
Action value of 2.5 m/s2
According to the EU Directive 2002/44 / EC, every employer must make a risk assessment in terms of vibration exposure of his employees, since July of 2005. This is based on an 8-hour workday. If an employee is suspended a dose of more than 2.5 m/s2 at this time, he has to take special measures for occupational safety and health - therefore it is called action value:
- Documentation of each use of machinery, which contributes to the vibration exposure
- Special training and information for employees
- Changes in work organization to reduce vibration exposure
- Instigation of preventive examinations
Exposure limit value of 5 m/s2
The limit for the average daily vibration exposure of an operator on an 8-hour workday is 5 m/s2. This exposure limit must not be exceeded, otherwise health damages for the operator - such as Circulatory disorders - can occur. The value does not indicate the upper limit for a single device, but refers to the sum of values of all devices used per day. This is also the reason for documentation requirements of all work with vibratory plates. Only machines with a hand-arm vibration value below 2.5 m/s2 are an exception to this.
