International development teams
At our research and development facilities in Munich, Linz, Pfullendorf, Diemelsee-Flechtdorf, Milwaukee and Manila, we have specialized development teams who concentrate on two essential tasks:
- The design of new products so as to improve and increase the product range of the company and to satisfy customer needs (new developments).
- The reworking of existing series to improve product quality and user-friendliness, reduce manufacturing costs or implement new statutory or regulatory requirements (specification improvement).
Standardized innovation processes
Wacker Neuson uses a standardized development and production process that covers everything from market research to series production. Designs created with the aid of advanced development standards, such as 3D-CAD programs, are validated with simulation and extensive testing processes. The company currently holds a total of more than 420 proprietary rights that are registered in various countries around the world.
Difference by design
Our customers also place great value on the design of our equipment. Many of the experts view design as a direct indicator of the underlying concept and product integration capabilities. Neuson Kramer products in particular are widely recognized in the industry as pioneers of exceptional design, winning several awards in this field in 2007. The 4107 (now 4507) Kramer telescopic handler and 28Z3 Neuson excavator received the iF product design award in the reporting year. This is one of the oldest awards of its kind worldwide. Neuson’s distinctive square, red logo and striking lettering have been a byword for superior design for over 50 years. The 4107 Kramer telescopic handler was also nominated for the “Adolf Loos Staatspreis Design 2007”, Austria’s most prestigious design award.
