Privacy Statement

Wacker Neuson SE ("Wacker Neuson") respects the privacy of its customers and visitors to this Site. Wacker Neuson is committed to maintaining the privacy of personal information that you provide when using this Site. This Privacy Statement is designed to help you understand what information we gather and what we do with the information. Your use of this Site means that you agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Privacy Statement.

Technology on the Internet is rapidly changing, and Wacker Neuson needs to maintain flexibility in its business model. Wacker Neuson reserves the right to change this Privacy Statement, and if it does so, we will post the amended Privacy Statement on this Site 14 days before it becomes effective. Your use of this Site after any new Privacy Statement becomes effective means that you agree to all the terms and conditions of the new policy.

1. Information We Gather
Data collected by Wacker Neuson falls under three general categories: (1) General tracking information that arises as visitors navigate through the Site and the Internet, (2) Information related to online orders, and (3) Information related to online applications.

2. General Tracking Information
To help us tailor our Site to the needs and interests of our visitors, we keep track of the pages visited by each user. We aggregate this data with data on the pages visited by other users to track overall visitor traffic patterns. We use this information to improve our Site by making it more responsive to the needs of our users.

Our webserver automatically collects some information about you when you request pages from our server, including your IP address. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers connected to the Internet to identify your computer so that data (such as the web pages you request) can be sent to you. This information does not identify you personally.

3. Online Ordering Information
If you do any online shopping on the Site, we use cookies to track the items you place in your shopping basket. A cookie is just an entry in a text file or folder on your hard drive. The cookie contains a unique ID number assigned to you for the duration of a single shopping session that allows you to select a product, place it in your shopping basket and continue browsing through other products available on our Site, without completing a separate order form for each product you select. The cookies we use are specific to a shopping session; once you leave the shopping area of the Site the cookie expires; when you return for a subsequent shopping visit, a new cookie will be assigned to you for that session. Cookies do not reveal personal information; the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. Cookies cannot read data off your hard disk. If you would like more technical information about how cookies work, check out
Netscape: http://www.netscape.com/newsref/std/cookie_spec.html or
Internet Explorer: http://www.microsoft.com/info/cookies.htm.

If you place an order on our Site, we ask you to provide the information that will allow us to fulfill your order. The Check-Out area of the Site will ask you for your name, the shipping address, and your e-mail address (so we can send an order confirmation).

We only send you a single e-mail message confirming your order. This e-mail contains our order number so that you can query the individual items of your order and their status.

4. Online Applicant Data
We use your personal information exclusively for the purpose of processing your application. You can be certain that your personal data will be used only for the purposes for which it was collected, as stipulated by the purpose-assignment principle of the German Federal Data Protection Law (BDSG) of May 23, 2001. Of course, you can object to the use of your personal data at any time.
As a matter of principle, your personal data will not be forwarded to a third party. Wacker Neuson will collect only the data that you enter into the database yourself.
All data entry is voluntary. However, we do point out that the fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory fields that are required in order to facilitate processing of your application.
The information includes: First Name, Last Name, Address, etc..

5. What We Do With the Information We Gather
As indicated above, the aggregated tracking information we gather over the Site is used to tailor the Site to our customers' interests. The information you provide to fulfill an order is used primarily to complete your order, to ship it to the correct address, and to send you an e-mail confirmation of your purchase. We will retain your e-mail address and your name unless you send us an e-mail at webmaster@am.wackergroup.com to request that we do not retain that information. We'd like to keep this information so that, from time to time, we can send you information on products and services that we believe may be of interest to you. If you ask us not to retain your name and e-mail address, please allow us 24 to 48 hours to implement your request. Wacker Neuson reserves the right to provide customer information it has received permission to retain, other than credit card or other financial information, to third parties. The saved information about applicants will be used exclusively within the Wacker Neuson organization. Only persons responsible for assessing and evaluating the information or using the information to make decisions will have access to the information. It is possible that we will reformat your data or forward the data internally to other services or databases in order to meet certain requirements and ensure better service. We will handle your data in a confidential manner. We are committed to complying with all regulations relevant to data protection, especially those that fall under the German law BDSG.

6. Security
Whenever Wacker Neuson handles information that you enter on our Site, regardless of where this occurs, we take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100 % secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, Wacker Neuson cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us. Therefore, any transmission of information by you to Wacker Neuson is done at your own risk. Once Wacker Neuson receives your transmission, Wacker Neuson makes commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of your information on our systems.

7. Children Under 13
If you are a person under the age of 13, we do not want to receive any personal information about you – including information such as your name, address or e-mail address. Wacker Neuson does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected any personal information from a child under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information from our database as quickly as reasonably possible.

8. Declaration of Self Committal
As described, Wacker Neuson is committed to compliance with the above-mentioned points as they relate to data protection. This commitment is monitored by our data protection representative, who is available to directly answer your questions and receive your comments. If you have additional questions, comments, and/or criticism about data protection on our web pages, please contact leo.goeschka@wackerneuson.com .
