Pressemitteilung als PDF downloadenTop performance in every class

(Pfullendorf, April 19, 2010) At Bauma 2010, Kramer Allrad will be presenting a new Premium
Wheel Loader range, in which the characteristics of the existing series have been optimised
and additional options made available.

User-friendliness plays a fundamental role in the R&D work carried out at Kramer Allrad. Great
innovative flair allied with flat and flexible structures have ensured that the south-German
compact machine manufacturer has for years remained a market leader on the European
construction machinery market. In order to continue building on its position at the vanguard,
Kramer Allrad will be using Bauma 2010 to showcase its completely revamped 80-series.

The performance characteristics of this successful series have been improved, and additional
options made available. The series now comprises six new machines, from the 380 through to
the 780, and once again includes a tele wheel loader, the 680T.
As a result, Kramer Allrad now presents a comprehensive product range that entirely spans the
compact wheel loader market from 0.3 up to 2.5 m³ bucket capacity.

Significantly improved performance values
The new 80 Comfort Series also comes equipped with the design characteristics that are so
typical of Kramer: the all-wheel steering and one-piece chassis guarantee the legendary
manoeuvrability and stability that have been the hallmark of Kramer Allrad for decades. Alongside
the mature technology and supreme driving comfort, professional users will particularly
appreciate the excellent performance characteristics of these machines. With the new series
models, Kramer Allrad has once again pulled out all the stops: 15% more tractive force, 7.5%
more power loading and 10% more tear-out force. Values like these speak for themselves.

A large proportion of these performance improvements have been brought about by carefully
designed modifications to the chassis. By means of these refinements, machine payload has
been increased without any increase to the tare weight. The improved power-to-weight ratio
offers the user a very compact machine that is easy to transport and light on fuel when deployed.
Another plus-point of the 80 series is significantly improved quiet running, an advantage when
driving on roads.

A host of equipment options
What the 80 series really has going for it is its versatility. Every wheel loader in the 80 series can
be precisely specified to customer requirements and for every type of application. Starting with
the 380 model, all machines can be fitted with Ecospeed hydrostatic high-speed drive, which
continues to be a Kramer market exclusive. This allows the machine speed to be adjusted
steplessly up to a top speed of 40 kph. Combine the Ecospeed option with a trailer coupling, and
the Kramer wheel loader can be used as a fully-fledged towing vehicle, whereby not only tool
attachments and materials but also construction machinery up to a weight of 13.5 metric tons
can be conveyed. This offers massive savings in transport costs and valuable working time.
What is more, the 80 series also enjoys EC tractor certification, which means that these vehicles
are authorized to be driven throughout Europe on the public highway. This unique characteristic
gives Kramer Allrad and its 80 Premium Series of wheel loaders a considerable competitive
edge.

Lots of other performance and equipment options serve to enhance the high functionality of the
Kramer wheel loaders. At the touch of a button, the machines can be switched from all-wheel
steering to front axle or crab steering, enormously enhancing the deployment possibilities and
making the machines even more manoeuvrable. The pilot-controlled work hydraulics make for
really fast loading sequences even when there is lots of material to shift, and are optimally
suited to the drive system. If even the powerful standard hydraulics are not enough for you, all
new models can be ordered with the supplementary "Power Flow" hydraulics. With this onboard,
even asphalting and snow clearance can be tackled with absolutely no risk of the loader running
out of steam.

The third control circuit is integrated as standard in the joystick, and additional front and rear tool
attachments can be operated via an optional fourth control circuit. The hydraulic quick-hitch plate
ensures that tool changing is a seamless affair, and its design has remained unchanged for
40 years, meaning that tool attachments from previous models can be used without difficulty.
Since all tool attachments and options are available ex-works, the customer can be sure that the
functions are configured to work in guaranteed syncronisation.

More room to move in the cab

When focusing on the cab space, the Kramer designers had the driver's working conditions
predominantly in mind. The extra 100 mm in length provides valuable extra legroom. What is
more, the pedals are now suspended, which increases user comfort and considerably facilitates
cab cleaning. The designers have also increased vehicle width, so that the new cabs now
constitute genuine feel-good zones for the user. With the newly designed joystick, the driver has
all important work processes close to hand. The multifunction grip is ergonomically shaped, and
its strengths will shine through even in the dark: as soon as the driver turns on the lights, the
main function switches light up in different colours. Norbert Mingau explains the advantages of
this innovative night design: "In this way, the operator knows immediately what is where."

The designers have found a new location for the heating assembly: it now sits directly under the
front windscreen, making for faster and more efficient cab heating and cooling. The cab changes
have also taken the safety aspect into account: when fully open, the doors do not project beyond
the contours of the vehicle, thereby considerably reducing the risk of damage. Two full-fledged
doorways on both sides are also fitted as standard, as are the adjustable steering column and
adjustable comfort seat with extended backrest.
