6001s POWER: Wacker Neuson extends its cab dumper range with
an additional model
(Leonding, April 19, 2010) For the first time the 84 kW Power version of the 6001s will go on
show at Bauma 2010 with the cab version, too. The wheel dumper with the extra power and
torque that was only launched in the middle of last year is now also optionally available with
a fully-equipped cab ex-works.

Weatherproof productivity
The cab concept for dumpers guarantees extended deployment time, whatever the weather is
like, thereby making a dumper an even more cost-effective and attractive proposition. Weather-
dependent downtime becomes a thing of the past. It offers optimal all-round protection, not only
from inclement weather but also from dust and foreign bodies that might get into the driver's face
as he flits around the site. Furthermore, this innovation from Wacker Neuson extends the range
of deployment possibilities and ensures that schedules will be met. The machine has a
reinforced swivel-tipping skip as standard, with a steplessly adjustable swing angle through
180° along with a maximum capacity of 3200 litres.
Extra safety and comfort
As protection for the driver from environmental conditions such as rain, cold and dust,
Wacker Neuson offers a large and roomy cab with heating as an ex-works option for its dumper
models 3001, 6001 Power, 9001 and 10001+. The fully-equipped ROPS/FOPS Level II safety
cab ensures that the driver can work in comfortable conditions, with plenty of head and leg room,
while at the same time enjoying excellent 360° visibility through the large cab windows. Using
the design principle adopted from the compact excavators, it has been possible to fit the dumper
cabs with two generous doorways. Both cab doors can be opened and snapped back at an
angle of 180°, enabling driving with both doors open. The 6001s Power from Wacker Neuson
comes equipped with hydrostatic drive. This drive mode is very easy to handle, low on
maintenance and guarantees the best traction values. Once the travel direction (forwards or
backwards) has been chosen, the driver can steplessly and with no loss of power move from
standstill to a top speed of 25 kph. When greater precision and more methodical movement is
required, a working speed range of 0-5 kph is also available. There are absolutely no gearshift
manoeuvres to be made, so that the driver always has his hands on the steering wheel or the
skip control lever.
Excellent performance on difficult terrain
The compact 6t wheel dumper has the engine of a 9 to 10t machine, making it unique in its
class. With the force of its Deutz TCD 2012T turbo diesel engine, the 6001s Power can boast
particularly with it´s impressive engine performance. Its torque of 422Nm means that it offers
up to 30% more than other, comparable machines. Thanks to its enormous tractive power and
centre-pivot steering, the hydrostatic-drive 6001s Power can boast excellent off-road capability.
It is capable of negotiating inclines of up to 50% with ease. The 6001s Power is equally at home
on the road, coming equipped with continuously variable dual drive speeds as standard:
low-speed from 0-5kph and high-speed from 0-25kph.
Ease of servicing and maintenance
Thanks to the lockable maintenance accesses on both sides of the cab, daily checks can be
kept to a minimum. The service access located beneath the driver's seat can be reached without
difficulty by simply unscrewing six screws.
