New breakers from Wacker Neuson deliver top performance and
outstanding durability
(Munich, April 19, 2010) Wacker Neuson launches the most powerful electric breakers in
their class and a new generation of gasoline breakers
Wacker Neuson SE's new EH 25 electric breaker delivers best-in-class demolition
performance and power/weight ratio. It also provides a hitherto unparalleled degree of
durability for this product segment. Wacker Neuson is also unveiling the latest version of its
proven BH 23 and BH 24 gas breakers. This next generation continues the tradition of
combining unique demolition performance with outstanding durability and an impressive
power/weight ratio.

Best-in-class power/weight ratio
"The EH 25 was specially developed for intensive use over long periods of time," explains
Ville Viita, demolition product manager at Wacker Neuson. "The end result is a comparatively
lightweight design with best-in-class demolition power and a long lifespan." The unique high
demolition power stems from the shock-optimized percussion system which generates 70 joules
of single-stroke impact energy, releasing more power than any comparable breaker currently
available on the market. Its impact rate of 1275 blows per minute is surpassed only by Wacker
Neuson’s slightly lighter EH 23 model. And it is this power, combined with a low weight of 25 kg
that gives the breaker its impressive power/weight ratio. "Operators can work extremely effectively
with only minimum levels of fatigue," adds Viita.
Outstanding ergonomics and sturdy design
The EH 25 combines a user-friendly design with an all-round ergonomic concept that includes
Wacker Neuson’s proven hood spring mounting concept – a feature that has already been used
on breakers such as the BH 24 to give them their extremely high levels of user friendliness. With
a hand-arm vibration value below 5 m/s2, the device can be deployed for an entire eight-hour
working day by the same operator. The hood design also makes the breaker easier to handle.
Various design features have been added to make the device robust and extremely durable. Its
percussion system is designed for extremely low maintenance and minimum levels of wear and
tear, making it an extremely cost-efficient choice with high availability levels. The asynchronous
motor works without the usual carbon brushes and as such requires zero maintenance.
Gasoline breakers: New cooling system improves ergonomics and durability
Wacker Neuson's re-designed gasoline breakers are also equipped with improved ergonomic
features to increase productivity. "By overhauling the BH 23 and BH 24 breakers we have made a
great product even better and can now offer the most up-to-date gasoline breakers currently
available on the market," asserts Viita. The improved cooling system is at the heart of the user-
friendly design and uses the engine's cooling air to cool the percussion system. This decreases
the device's overall temperature and increases the operating safety and service life of the breaker.
The improved ergonomic features of the compact design allow operators to work for longer
periods than previous models and under more comfortable conditions, without compromising on
performance. The re-designed hood and handles also make the breaker much easier to operate.
A wide range of additional features have also been added to improve handling and maintenance.
The repositioned tank cap, for example, is easier to access from any position, and enables
operators to refill the tank when the device is upright or lying on the ground. Both devices now
have an integrated starting aid (purger). Only a few pulls are needed to start the breaker. Another
plus is that the grease nipple, fuel filter and fuel cock can be easily accessed for maintenance
purposes. Finally, the spring-mounted hood can be pretensioned and the tank separately
detached together with the fuel supply system to ensure easy disassembly.
